Roast Description / Brewing

This roast works just as well in a standard coffee maker as in an espresso machine. It isn’t roasted as dark as a traditional dark roast, but rather designed as a straightforward coffee with a clear focus on roast flavor.

Delivery Terms

Our coffee is roasted and shipped only between Tuesdays and Thursdays to ensure the best possible quality and freshness. Since each coffee has its own specific profile, roast dates may vary, but we guarantee that it will never be older than two weeks from roast date at the time of delivery. What we can promise is that the coffee will always be fresh and taste great when it reaches you.

History

This is a coffee roasted for those who enjoy more strength and punch in the cup — but without unpleasant bitterness. We roast beans that are in season, or simply what we have available at the time. In any case, we promise a reliably flavorful dark roast that fits perfectly in any home, or even in the office break room.

A bit more about Ronaldo Morais Pena Filho and his farm, Fazenda Primavera in Brazil: their focus is on both social and environmental sustainability. They’ve invested in production techniques to minimize environmental impact, built their own hydroelectric plants and water treatment facilities, and recycle coffee by-products as fertilizer. Fazenda Primavera is a large farm with strong ties to its neighbors, sharing both energy and education.

To be clear, this coffee does not carry organic certifications. However, something almost synonymous with specialty coffee is full transparency — from the farm and the farmer all the way to the cup here in Sweden. Fazenda Primavera placed 3rd in Brazil’s “Most Sustainable Farm” ranking — and Brazil is the world’s largest coffee exporter. That in itself is quite impressive.

At Solkant, we always prioritize the environment. When we chose this coffee, it was because it’s a product we can sell with a clear conscience. We believe in spreading knowledge and helping consumers make more conscious choices when selecting coffee. Specialty coffee not only guarantees the highest quality, but also ensures that farmers are paid more than fairly for their incredible work.
