Roast Description / Brewing
We usually describe this as a light medium roast that brews best in a standard coffee maker, V60, or any dripper of your choice. The slightly bright notes of red berries shine through most clearly when brewed as a pour-over.
Delivery Terms
Our coffee is roasted and shipped only between Tuesdays and Thursdays to ensure the best possible quality and freshness. Since each coffee has its own specific profile, roast dates may vary, but we guarantee that it will never be older than two weeks from roast date at the time of delivery. What we can promise is that the coffee will always be fresh and taste great when it reaches you.
History
Brewed coffee doesn’t need to be complicated. That’s why we created a coffee that works in any situation. Not only that, it can also be brewed in a variety of different ways — just as tasty in a French press as in a pour-over. Can’t find your preferred grind in the dropdown menu? Please specify which brew method you use, and we’ll fix it for you!
A bit more about Ronaldo Morais Pena Filho and his farm, Fazenda Primavera in Brazil: their focus is on both social and environmental sustainability. They’ve invested in production techniques that minimize environmental impact, built their own hydroelectric plants and water treatment facilities, and recycle coffee by-products as fertilizer. Fazenda Primavera is a large farm with strong community ties, sharing energy and knowledge with their neighbors.
To be clear, this coffee does not carry organic certifications. However, something almost synonymous with specialty coffee is full transparency — from the farm and the farmer all the way to the cup here in Sweden. Fazenda Primavera placed 3rd in Brazil’s “Most Sustainable Farm” competition — in the world’s largest coffee-producing country. That in itself is truly impressive.
At Solkant, we always put the environment first. When we chose this coffee, it was because it’s a product we can sell with a clear conscience. We believe in spreading knowledge and helping consumers make more conscious choices when selecting coffee. Specialty coffee not only means top-tier quality, but also ensures that farmers are paid more than fairly for their incredible work.
